APAR status

Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool, when using DRDA to COnnect to
another subsystem, DISPLAY of objects using batch results
in current subsystem instead of subsytem being connected into.

Local fix

  • Change SSID to right subsytem

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool using       *
*                 DRDA mode.                                   *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 Commands  such as START,  STOP and  *
*                      DISPLAY  do not  work  correctly  when  *
*                      running  in DRDA mode  because the DB2  *
*                      ssid  name is not  properly  generated  *
*                      for the DSN command when customization  *
*                      tag :ssidname was omitted.              *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
If the :ssidname tag was not specified during customization,
then  the DB2 ssid specified  on the :nick tag will be used.

If the ssid can not be determined then ???? will be generated,
which the user can change before submitting the job.

An explanation is added to the JCL comments.
