    * This APAR added the following *
    *                      additional features:                    *

    * For Change Management installations, *
    *                      DB2 APAR PK72242  is required,  which   *

Changes to objects with DB2 Version 9 characteristics was
previously restricted or had limited capability.

This APAR added the following additional features:

Change functions which limited or restricted the changing
of DB2 9 attributes now have expanded capabilities to allow
changing many DB2 Version 9 attributes.

For Change Management installations, DB2 APAR PK72242 is
required, which also delivers similar function for DB2
    Object Comparison Tool.

Objects with XML columns can now be unloaded with base table
data going to the SYSREC data set and the XML column data going
to the data set as directed by the XML TEMPLATE. This capability
requires that the job be built as a work statement list.

The MIGRATE function supports unloading XML columns either using
a work statement list or using JCL, and has also been enhanced
to exclude implicitly created objects from its object display.

The masking function has been enhanced to support masking of
the catalog column SCHEMA, and offers more granularity with
the new TBSCHEMA, IXSCHEMA, TBOWNER and IXOWNER masks. The
xxSCHEMA mask must be placed ahead of any xxOWNER masks if a
different mask value is to be used for the schema value than
    for the owner value.

The GEN and DDL functions have been enhanced to support
DB2 Version 9 object definitions (DDL). The capabilities
are described more fully in companion APARs to this APAR.

Note: The capability to create DDL for Native Stored Procedures,
Trusted Contexts, and Roles will be provided in a future
          APAR.

Note: The value produced for the catalog column
          SYSTABLESPACESTATS.UNCOMPRESSEDDATASIZE when
generating catalog statistics will be the value
          from SYSTABLESPACESTATS.DATASIZE.
The UNCOMPRESSEDDATASIZE value will be provided
          in via APAR PK72446.

The product's EXPLAIN dialog has been enhanced to support XML
access path information and to create or update a PLAN_TABLE
definition to support new DB2 Version 9 fields.

The change management Register process has been enhanced to set
or include the CURRENT SCHEMA ahead of the statements being
    registered.

The Create Table and Alter Table dialogs have been enhanced to
allow creating tables with BIGINT, BINARY, VARBIN, DECFLOAT or
XML data types, or altering to add such columns. Additionally,
the ALC dialog allows adding, removing or renaming such columns.
Note: Changing the data types to or from the above data types
within ALC will be provided in a future APAR.
The RDEF dialog has been enhanced to allow specifying an index
using the RANDOM keyword, and changing a table space format from
    a V8 format to a partitioned-by-range format.
The Drop Impact dialog has been enhanced to report upon DB2
Version 9 object types and authorizations.

The WSL Validate function has been enhanced to recognize that
DB2 Version 9 will create certain objects implicitly, such as
unique or primary key index, and thus not report an error.
The Batch Restart facility (ADBTEP2) has been enhanced to
support unloading XML objects, tables with hidden columns, and
preserving the active CURRENT SCHEMA across restart points.

To preserve data values during unload, tables with hidden
columns shall be unloaded using only supported utilities
which unload the hidden columns (DB2 Unload and HPU).

DSNTIAUL does not unload hidden columns so it cannot be used to
    unload such tables.
