APAR status

Error description

  • While instaling an application in the administrative console,
    accessed with Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, the
    following java script error is encountered at the step of
    resource mapping;

    The issue occurs when doing the following:
    1, WebSphere Application Server administrative console >
    Applications > Install New Application
    2, select Local file system and input the file path
    3, click "Next"
    4, click "Step3 Map resource references to resources"
    5, Select  "Previous", "Next" or "Cancel" button and this
    problem occurs.
    

Local fix

  • Turn off the following option on the browser.
    Tools->Internet Options->Advanced
    Browsing.Display a notification about every script error.
    

Problem summary

    The javascript that was executed in Map Resource References to
    Resources was causing problems because it was included in the
    javascript twice.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This problem was fixed by removing the second inclusion of the
    javascript that was causing the problem.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 6.1.0.23.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
