  *                 who  uses  V71 version files  in v72 compare *
  *                 and older version files created before count *
  *                 is introduced.                               *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When V71 version files used in V72      *
  *                      compare, results in DFSORT failure      *
  *                      due to incorrect version count and      *
  *                      results in following error:             *
  *                       ADBC010E - Sort of BASEIN records      *
  *                                  failed                      *
  *                       GOCC002E - Severe error. Compare       *
  *                                  terminates                  *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  V71 version files used in V72 compare results in DFSORT failure,
  due to differences in  mapping of record  count field in V71 and
  V72 verion header record.
  
  For all older version files (before count), compare sets the
  record count to zero.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed in V7.1.
