  • The DB2 Object Comparision Tool CHANGES file did not contain the
correct definitions needed to DROP a dependent VIEW resulting
in the ANalyze job failing RC=12 with the message:

Added view aaaaaaa.aaaaaaaa already exists
ADBC002E - Severe error. Merge terminates

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Object Compare VALIDATE run fails with  *
*                      the message:                            *
*                       Added view creator.name already exists *
*                       ADBC002E - Severe error.Merge          *
*                                  terminates.                 *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Object Compare was changed to produce ADMIN DROP statements for
dependent views.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem has been fixed in Object Compare V7.2.
