Error description
The WCM mail module produces mail with multiple "To" fields in the header. This is contrary to the standard in RFC 2822, which states that there should be a single "To" field with a comma- delimited set of addresses.
Local fix
Problem summary
When we execute a worflow email to multiple recipients, we create multiple To headers, which can cause problems with mail servers that strictly interpret SMTP and Internet Mail Protocol. User symptom is that the email description only shows the last person in the To field even though email is correctly sent to all recipients. Same problem can occur with CC and BCC fields.
Problem conclusion
Problem Analysis: In MailConnection.java, we loop through a list of recipient names and call addRecipient for each name, which results in multiple mail headers Problem solution: Instead of calling addRecipient for each recipient, which results in multiple mail headers, build an array of addresses and call addRecipients, which results in a single mail header containing the entire list A fix for this problem is available for WCM 6.0.1.3 from Fix Central at: http://www.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fixcentral/swgquickorde r?brandid=2&productid=Workplace%20Web%20Content%20Management&fix es=6.0.1.3-WCM-PK69796
