  • IMS V910 goes into a wait when QCF is active. Longest waiting
    IMS save flow is:
    DFSTMS00 -> DFSFXC30 -> DFSSYI40 -> DFSFXC40 -> XFERDEST ->
    DFSPREQ0 -> DFSQMGR0 -> DFSQFX00 -> DFSQC021 -> DFSQC020 ->
    UNK      -> QMRIB000 -> IQCCQAT0 -> CQAT8000 -> DFSIWAIT.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of QCF 3.1                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IMS V910 or above gets into a hang      *
    *                      when QCF is active in control region    *
    *                      and the queues are building up.         *
    *                      This happens if several sources are     *
    *                      inserting messages and get close to     *
    *                      area actions.                           *
    *                       A bug in sorting queue of waiters on   *
    *                      action table  caused the second in      *
    *                      queue not to be posted and IMS hangs.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    IMS hangs when there are several sources requestig area
    actions-sort queue for exclusive waiters on action table is in
    error - and waiters do not get posted.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Sort of waters queue has been fixed. All waiters are posted.
