  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In Merge, when the SORT routine         *
  *                      PLISRTB is called, it fails with        *
  *                      an abend B37 while allocating           *
  *                      sort work datasets. The allocation      *
  *                      of sort work data sets that are         *
  *                      larger than needed leads to             *
  *                      an unknown file size problem.           *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  In Merge, when the SORT routine PLISRTB is called,
  it fails with an abend B37 while allocating sort work
  datasets. The allocation of sort work data sets that are
  larger than needed leads to an unknown file size
  problem.
  
  With this fix, the SIZE parameter is supplied to
  the PLISRTB routine to allow sort work data sets
  to be allocated only as needed by the sort routine.
  

Problem conclusion

•  Problem has been resolved.
