Error description
In the output returned by running the collector command with -help, there is an AidInventory parameter listed, which does not exist. The command is: c:\tmp>c:\ibm\websphere60\appserver\profiles\AppSrv01\bin\collec tor -help The parameters seen are: Inventory, JarOutName, Compression, CaseSensitive, AutoCollect, ManifestFile, mfVersion, mfMainClass, LogFile, PropertyFile, ScratchFile, Version, Debug, Help and Verbosity. The help display of the collector needs to be cleaned up to remove the mention of AidInventory. This is how it looks like currently: **** -Inventory <file-spec> Where <file-spec> is a file specifying the data to collect. If the Collector is being executed as an executable jar then the default inventory file will be searched within the jar file with the name of "default.inventory". If being executed as a class file then the default is to prompt the user. An inventory file is required for operation. For help with the inventory file, use the -AidInventory option. ****

The help display of the collector needs to be cleaned up to remove the mention of AidInventory. This is how it looks like currently: **** -Inventory <file-spec> Where <file-spec> is a file specifying the data to collect. If being executed as a class file then the default is to prompt the user. An inventory file is required for operation. For help with the inventory file, use the -AidInventory option. ****
Problem conclusion
The -AidInventory comment has been removed and the collector's help should display the following under -Inventory: **** -Inventory <file-spec> Where <file-spec> is a file specifying the data to collect. If the Collector is being executed as an executable jar then the default inventory file will be searched within the jar file with the name of "default.inventory". If being executed as a class file then the default is to prompt the user. An inventory file is required for operation. **** The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpacks 6.1.0.21 and 6.0.2.33.
