Error description
1) SYSTEM BACKUP PROFILES help panel (ARYHBPRU) and the User Guide incorrectly describes the field Backup Generations for DB2 backups On the help panel for SYSTEM BACKUP PROFILES (ARYHBPRU), the text says: "For DB2 backups, the only valid number of DB2 backups that can be kept is 4; this value is read only." In the User's Guide it says "System Backup and Restore Services can maintain up to 4 generations of DB2 backups on disk." Neither of these are correct and should be: For DB2 backups, this number is determined by the number of Backup Versions defined in the Copy Pool; this value is read only 2) Wrong cursor positioning on Backup Profile Display panel ARY$BPRD after updating a profile After updating a Backup Profile, when you press PF3 to go back to the Backup Profile display screen - the cursor is positioned in the wrong spot (if you have more than one profile). This may be confusing to a user. 3) S001-4 abend when attempting to create a DB2 backup profile on a version 1.9 z/OS system using a SMS managed Storage Group with a name less than 8 characters 4) Multiple backup profiles for the same subsystem may cause more SLB's then the user wants in a data sharing environment. Backup profiles is allowing a profile to be built for two subsystems that belong to the same data sharing group doing the same backup method and both would be backing up the same objects and producing twice as many SLB's then the user would want.
