• DB2 ADMIN RENAME TABLE, MESSAGE MISSING AFTER DROP TS, NO RESPON
  SE AFTER PRESS ENTER, CHECK RENAME TABLE FOR OLD TABLE NAME.

  *                 "Rename Table", after dropping a             *
  *                 tablespace or renaming a database,           *
  *                 and using the same table name for            *
  *                 the new table name.                          *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using Change Management            *
  *                      to rename a table on panel              *
  *                      ADB21TR  "Rename Table", a              *
  *                      message is not displayed                *
  *                      after dropping a tablespace or          *
  *                      renaming a database. Also, if the       *
  *                      old table name is used during the       *
  *                      renaming of the new table, a message    *
  *                      is not displayed.                       *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

  There is no response for renaming a table on panel
  ADB21TR "Rename Table" after a drop of a tablespace
  or database rename using Change Management. A
  check is not performed when using the same name for
  the new table as the old table name.
  

Problem conclusion

• EXEC ADB21TRV and PANEL ADB21TR have been
  modified so the user can continue to rename the table
  after dropping a tablespace or renaming a database.
  Also, the message ADBC121W 'Duplicate name,
  'The new name can not be the same as the old name.' ,
  has been added to warn the user when a rename table
  using the old table name is being attempted.
