APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool ALTER RDEF function does not create
the correct SECQTY syntax for objects created before DB2 R510.
The SECQTY will show zero / 0 even if panel ADB21SA "Alter Table
Space" shows a non-zero value, panel ADB21SAR "Redefine Table
Space" shows a SECQTY zero / 0 however.

Local fix

  • Add the SECQTY value manually

Problem summary

Modified  the SQL for the RDEF line command in panel ADB21SA to
sync with the select of the SQTY column used in the SQL for the
AL line command in panel ADB21S.

Problem conclusion

  • Incident is now resolved.
