Error description

• If the automaximize mode is enabled, and the portlet is
  switched
  to the customize, edit, or petsonalize mode,
  the portlet is switched to the maximize state. However, the
  portlet is not switched back to the previous state, after
  the mode has left. Instead, the portlet remains in the
  maximized
  state.
  

Local fix

• click restore in the portlet menu.
  

Problem summary

• If the automaximize mode is enabled, and the portlet is switched
  to the customize, edit, or personalize mode, the portlet is
  switched to the maximize state. However, the portlet is not
  switched back to the previous state, after the mode has left.
  Instead, the portlet remains in the maximized state.
  

Problem conclusion

• If config/edit(personalize mode is left, it is checked if the
  state was changed by automaximize. If so, the portlet state is
  reset.
