  • In DB2 Object Comparison Tool, using DECP DECIMAL=COMMA and
comparing a limit key e.g. 1000, the tool generates the limit
key as an INTEGER e.g. 1000

*                      boundary values are represented in a    *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

DB2 Object Comparison Tool reports a difference for the limit
key values when a partitioning index is  defined on a Decimal
columns when  identical boundary values are  represented in a
ifferent way.
For example,
Object Compare shouldn't report the difference for the following
values
       1000000000000  1000000000000.  1000000000000.00

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem is fixed in DB2 Object Comparison Tool Ver 7.2.
