    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The maximum number of the partitions *
    * allowed depends upon how the table *

SQLCODE4701 may occur when attempting to add a partition to a
table space using the AL or ALC line commands on a table.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been corrected. Message ADB273E will be issued when
an attempt to add a partition beyond the maximum has been made.
To add a partition beyond the maximum allowed, the table space
    needs to be redefined.
