APAR status

Error description

  • This APAR will address the following problems:
    - When using CCF DFS2002 option in an IMS region that uses
      an eight character VTAM APPLID, the last byte of the APPLID
      is not returned in the DFS2002 message.
    - Utility IZTSMU00 did not allow for more than one blank
      between the )( control card keyword and parameter.
    and add the following function:
    - Added the ability to prevent logons by specifying a reserved
      LOGON Descriptor name, IZTFAIL.

    This APAR is fixing the following:
    1. When using CCF DFS2002 option in an IMS region that uses
    an eight character VTAM APPLID, the last byte of the APPLID
    is not returned in the DFS2002 message.
    2. Utility IZTSMU00 did not allow for more than one blank
    between the )( control card keyword and parameter.
    3. Adding the ability to prevent logons by specifying a
    reserved LOGON Descriptor name, IZTFAIL.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The following changes have been made to correct the problems
    mentioned above:
    1. When using ETO Supports DFS2002 option, all eight bytes of
    the VTAM APPLID will now be returned as part of the message.
    2. Corrected a problem in utility program IZTSMU00 control card
    editing routine.
    3. Provided the ability to prevent specific dynamic LU's from
    logging on to IMS by specifying a reserved Logon Descriptor
    name, IZTFAIL.
