Comments
The following Dialog and Batch Utilities have been changed to support this new feature: 1. The Dialog system definition panel CEXMPDEP and associated help panels. The following new field has been added to the panel: / Activate Mixed Case Passwords 2. The Batch Definition Maintenance Utility CEXDFDSI. The following new parameter has been added to the system definition statement: +-,REPLACE=NO--+ --DEFN=(HWS,name)--+----------------------+--+--------------+--- +- ,DESC-"description"-+ +-,REPLACE=YES-+ +-,MIXED_CASE_PASSWORDS=+-ACTIVE---+ --+-----------------------+----------+-------------------------- +-INACTIVE-+ 3. The Batch Definition Extract Utility CEXDFDSO. This utility has been changed to support the new system definition parameter. When the mixed case password setting is selected, passwords are not folded to upper case during IMS Connect Extensions security and command processing. The Command Shell now recognizes the new IMS Connect mixed case password commands: - SETPWMC ON|OFF - UPDATE MEMBER TYPE(IMSCON) SET(PSWDMC(ON|OFF)) Two new security resource profiles have been added to control access to these commands: Type Verb Object Resource Name Authority ---- ----- ------ ------------------- --------- HWS START PWMC CEX.applid.STA.PWMC UPDATE HWS STOP PWMC CEX.applid.STO.PWMC UPDATE For backwards compatibility, IMS Connect Extensions implements mixed case password support as the default.
