Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool panel adb21sa, entering a new buffer
pool ( BP ) value causes message 'Invalid buffer pool' during
an AL ( ALTER ) RDEF ( REDEFINE ) operation on a tablespace.

Local fix

  • Leaving new BP value in panel adb21sa, use RDEF on command
line, and hit ENTER a second time to move forward to the next
panel, adb21sar , where the new BP value needs to be specified
again. BP value is not carried forward from panel adb21sa.
.
Alternatively, do not attempt to change BP value on panel
adb21sa, and use RDEF primary command to advance to panel
adb21sar, where the new BP value can be entered.
