Error description
Customer has found that when he issues : . QUERY MEMBER TYPE(IMSCON) SHOW(ALL) . from CEX Shell (Operations option 5) the Output often results truncated. The Output is complete when last lines: . 10.46.38 HWSC0001I PORT=9999 STATUS=ACTIVE 10.46.38 HWSC0001I NO ACTIVE CLIENTS . are present. Often the Output from this command being issued repeatedly appears much shorter. ------------------------------------------- also IVP jobs fail with message CEX5046E TCPIP request ended with error, request:INITAPI, Return code:FFFFFFFF Error number:1011 msgcex5046e The load module CEXACL10 DOES have PK52203 applied.

Lost output in Command Shell. 2. TCP/IP ERRNO=1011 in IVP Utility. 3. Password shown in clear text in IVP Utility job output. 4. Password shown in clear text in TypeA4 trace record. 5. Conditional tracing command prompt is misleading. 6. Additional changes described below in the summary of changes (items 6-8) are also included in this APAR.
Problem conclusion
The following changes have been made in this APAR: 1. The Command Shell timeout value has been elongated to ensure IMS Connect command processing has completed. 2. The TCP/IP INITAPI call has been changed in IVP Utility to eliminate the cause of the ERRNO=1011 failure. 3.The IVP Utility has been changed to mask out passwords in the job output. 4. The tracing service has been changed to mask out passwords in the TypeA4 trace record. 5. The wording in conditional tracing command prompt has been changed to make it easier to use. 6. To prevent loss of the IMS Connect Extensions Console, a WTOR has been added to the Listener task to request operator intervention when an unrecoverable network error occurs. 7. A transaction timer flag setting has been added to TYPE62 event record mapping. 8. Message CEX5023I showing ACEE caching active when it has not been selected has been corrected.
