PK63569: ABEND806 IQCQMRHA WHEN IMS AND QCF ARE INSTALLED IN SAME SMP/E TARGET ZONE AND QCF OVERFLOW PROTECTION NOT BEING USED

Error description

• ABENDS806 for module IQCQMRHA when IMS and QCF are installed in
  the same SMP/E target zone, and when the QCF Overflow Protection
  function is not being used.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IMS and IMS tools, that have    *
  *                 QCF3.1 SMP/E installed , but do not want to  *
  *                 use it. It is recommended that all customers *
  *                 of QCF3.1 install this APAR.                 *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: QCF3.1 has a program, that is linked as *
  *                      DFSQMRH0 - and is responsible to switch *
  *                      QCF3.1 overflow protection on.          *
  *                      It replaces IMS's dummy DFSQMRH0.       *
  *                      QCF's DFSQMRH0 loads all overflow       *
  *                      protection programs and swiches a       *
  *                      bit on - these programs to be called    *
  *                      by queue manager.                       *
  *                      If IMS DFSQMRH0 is replaced by QCF3.1   *
  *                      DFSQMRH0, but the customer does not     *
  *                      want to use QCF and QCF load library is *
  *                      not in STEPLIB conncatination, an error *
  *                      occures when DFSQMRH0 tries to load     *
  *                      other QCF3.1 programs.                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  QCF supplied DFSQMRH0 is changed to switch off overflow
  protection if other QCF programs can not be loaded ( QCF load
  library is not in STEPLIB conncatenation).
  Even if the customer has QCF SMP/E installed and IMS's DFSQMRH0
  replaced by QCF supplied version- conrol region will start and
  overflow protection will stay switched off ( disabled).
  

Problem conclusion

• QCF3.1 programs have been changed to disable new overflow
  protection and not to replace ISM QMR programs, if there is no
  QCF load library in STEPLIB DD conncatenation for control
  region.
