  • In DB2 Administration Tool CC (Catalog Copy) operations, space
allocations for new CC objects are not reduced to HI-U-RBA
values of the source objects from the DB2 catalog, even though
panel ADB2GEN parm:
   Alloc TS size as. . . : USED      (DEFINED, USED, or ALLOC)
is set to USED.

ADB2GEN parm, ' Alloc TS size as '.

*                      space PRIQTY option are excessive.      *

When using Catalog Copy to create copies of the DB2 catalog,
the PRIQTY calculated for the table spaces created are higher
than expected and manual intervention is needed to make them
more realistic.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The Catalog Copy was calculating the PRIQTY size incorrectly
due to an error in the code.  This error has been fixed and
PRIQTY values are much lower for the CC4Kxx and CC8Kxx table
spaces.
