PK63200: USING FAST GEN AFTER GOING TO Z/OS 1.9

Error description

• When trying to use the Fast Gen tool (ie HP Sysgen) on an LPAR
  that was
  recently upgraded from z/OS 1.8 to 1.9 we received the following
  error.

  * Not all required parameters were found for the BRIF service

  We receive this error when we use panel option 2 (Edit) from
  the primary panel, then select line command V (verify), I
  then type GO to execute the verification and got the error.

  Message ISPS107 may occur when using HP Sysgen VERIFY, INSTALL
  and Commmand functions. Not all required parameters were
  found for the BRIF service.
  

Problem conclusion

• The circumstances described by APAR OW15489 were encountered
  (The address of a READ/WRITE Routine started with X'40').
  Addresses used in the BRIF and EDIF ISPF services will be
  changed to turn on the X'80' bit to prevent ISPF from
  misinterpreting the address starting with X'40' as a
  blank address.
