PK62803: INCORRECT OUTPUT IN MONITOR EXCEPTION REPORT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The 'IWAIT elapsed time exceeded' exceptions with PCBNAME=I/O
  PCB may have HSAM incorrectly appended to the 'DD=ssid (E)'
  string in the Type 1 entry description.
  IMS PA should not be trying to determine 'access method' for
  PCBNAME=I/O PCB calls, as it is not relevant.

  This APAR is correcting the following:
  1. Incorrect output in Monitor Exception report.
  'IWAIT elapsed time exceeded' exceptions with
  PCBNAME=I/O PCB may have HSAM incorrectly appended to the
  DD=ssid (E)string in the Type 1 entry description.
  2. Customer would like to suppress Created Schedule and
  Forced Schedule End lines.
  Volume of Created Schedule and Forced Schedule End
  lines distracts from 'real' exceptions.
  This #2 was implemented as part of MR0310084144 and is only
  for batch. The ability to generate it through the ISPF dialog
  should be available in a future release.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made to correct the above:
  1. Change IPIATRND so that it does not attempt to determine
  'access method' for PCBNAME=I/O PCB calls as it is not
  relevant.
  2. Add an extra keyword IGNSCHED to allow suppression of
  unwanted lines, for example:
  IMSPAMON    EXCEPTION(LISTING,
              IGNSCHED,         <----
              PAGES(100),
              IWTELAP(20),
              CALLELAP(1000))
  This is a Batch-only option - the ability to generate
  it through the ISPF dialog will be provided in a
  future release.
