Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool Change Management ( CM ) DEL line
command requires the plan be named ADB.

Local fix

  • Bind the sample plan ADB ( including package ADBCDCH )

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 ADMIN TOOL who use Change       *
*                 Management and want to enable the            *
*                 delete change feature.  This APAR            *
*                 contains documentation/comment changes       *
*                 only.                                        *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Change Management delete change     *
*                      feature does not work when a plan is    *
*                      specified in the PLAN() parameter when  *
*                      running Admin.                          *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
When a plan is specified in the PLAN() parameter when running
Admin, to enable the delete change feature, the ADBCDCH package
must be included in the user specified plan.  This is because
when a plan is specified in the PLAN() parameter when running
Admin, that plan is used for all programs.  When plan is not
specified, the delete change feature will use plan ADBCDCH.

Problem conclusion

  • Documentation has been updated to clarify enabling of the
delete change feature.  This APAR contains documentation/comment
changes only.
