  • The DB2 Administration Tool REN line command needs CM to be
set to optional for the command to work.

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: Users of  DB2 Admin  Tool  720 who use the   *
*                 RENAME table line command on panel ADB21T.   *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The REN line command to rename a table  *
*                      only works if Change Management is set  *
*                      to "Optional".                          *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
When the RENAME line command is issued from panel ADB21T, no
SQL is generated  unless Change Management is active and set
to "Optional".

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem has been fixed. In addtion, several other problems
related  to Change  Management processing for RENAME table are
fixed.
