APAR status

Error description

  • Register 8 and Register 0 where not being reset after leaving 64
    bit mode processing. The results may be manifested in different
    ways depending on the code path followed. This will not occur in
    all cases, but only certain product execution (and
    indeterminate) paths that lead to register 8 and register 0
    having non-zero high word. Fix ensures register 8 and register 0
    has zero values in high word when leaving this 64 bit routine.
