PK62258: ALC ON TABLE WITH CCSID UNICODE AND DEFAULT FOR SBCS DATA USING WSL MISSING DEFAULTS WHICH RESULTS IN FOR MIXED DATA

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool, when using WSL and ALC to alter
  a table which resides in CCSID UNICODE and FOR SBCS DATA used
  in column definition, subtype FOR SBCS DATA gets blanked out
  resulting in FOR MIXED DATA when the table gets recreated.
  

Local fix

• Append FOR SBCS DATA prior to Job Submission in WSL

  *                      clause,   resulting in FOR  MIXED DATA  *
  *                      when the table is recreated.            *

  The DDL-processing logic in ADB27AC mistakenly suppresses the
  FOR SBCS DATA clause when SYSPARM_mixed (DECPGRAF) is off and
  the column subtype is "S".
  

Problem conclusion

• ADB27AC logic is corrected.
