Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool CM Analyze JCL contains a hardcoded
SPACE parm for the VEROUT ddname.
//EXDLTA   EXEC PGM=IKJEFT01,DYNAMNBR=100
//VEROUT   DD DISP=(NEW,PASS,DELETE),
//      SPACE=(TRK,(20,20,0)),LRECL=16384,RECFM=VB,BLKSIZE=27998
which results in a ABENDx37 when a larger number of objects
are processed.
Additional Symptoms: B37 B37-04

Local fix

  • Modify JCL once created

* RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *

The VEROUT file in the EXDLTA job step in the Change Management
Analyze job had a fixed SPACE allocation.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been fixed.  The SPACE attribute for the VEROUT
file in the EXDLTA job step in the Change Management Analyze
job is now determined dynamically.
