PK61994: ANALYZE FAILS WITH MERGE ERROR WHEN A COLUMN IS ADDED WITH IS PART OF THE PRIMARY KEY AND UNIQUE INDEX

Error description

• When using DB2 Administration Tool Change Management, Analyze
  fails with Merge Error ADBC002E, when a column is added which
  is part of the Primary Key and Unique Index.
  Additional Symptoms: msgadbc002e adbcmme rc12
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Object Compare V7.2.                *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Object Compare Change Management was    *
  *                      using the wrong prefix for an ALTER     *
  *                      INSERT COLUMN causing its execution to  *
  *                      come after the execution of an ALTER    *
  *                      ADD PRIMARY KEY which contained the     *
  *                      new column.                             *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  Object Compare Change Management was changed to use the correct
  prefix so that the ALTER INSERT COLUMN would be executed before
  the ALTER ADD PRIMARY KEY.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed in Object Compare Ver 7.2.
