Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO and CICS V810 and V910       *
  *                 users.                                       *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If users allocate the spill file to the *
  *                      terminal, by allocating DA(*),          *
  *                      DSQSPILL DD *, or SYSOUT=x, DSQCSIDT    *
  *                      will WRITE to the terminal, causing     *
  *                      all manner of weird behavior, including *
  *                      QMF hangs, message IKT00405I SCREEN     *
  *                      ERASUER CAUSED BY ERROR RECOVERY        *
  *                      PROCEDURE, and TPUTs with invalid data  *
  *                      streams.                                *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  QMF assumes users have allocated the spill file DSQSPILL
  correctly to a DASD device and did not dectect an
  inappropriate allocation to the TSO terminal.
  

Problem conclusion

• QMF has been amended to determine whether the spill file
  DSQSPILL has been allocated to the TSO terminal before
  writing to the spill file.  QMF will  issue messages about the
  improper allocation to the DSQDEBUG file.  No screen messages
  are issued.
