    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
When reorganization process of RECON is performed in the
situation that the HPIC allocates two valid RECON except SPARE
dynamically, message DSP0243I ( MSGDSP0243I ) is issued by DBRC.
and reorganized RECON data set can not be accessed by any IMS
    applications.
Because the IMS utility region and DBRC update module in HPIC
process uses RECON data sets that is allocated by HPIC.
Therefore the RECON data set that become available by
reorganization of RECON is not accessed and information does not
correspond between available RECON data sets.

There is the case which a command fails when HPIC uses DBRC
command interface. When the CHANGE.IC command in the Offload
processing failed, the secondary image copy data set needs the
    registration by the manual operation.

Also, this APAR fixes following problems:
    - HPIC allocates the secondary image copy data set for Offload
Copy process dynamically, though the image copy data set is
      defined in JCL DD.
    - HPIC Image Copy function terminates with ABEND S0C4
( ABEND0C4 ), when the Offload task for secondary IC is
finished earlier than the primary IC
      process.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJBLKD has been modified to add the new flags for RECON
    status.

FABJBRLS has been modified to register the output image copy
data set that is created by HPIC Advanced Copy Services to DBRC.

FABJCRC0 and FABJDALC have been modified to try to allocate the
input image copy data set using UNIT and VOLSER information
acquired from RECON after failing to allocate it relying on the
catalog if the input image copy is registered as SMSNOCIC,
SMSCIC, SMSOFFLC or SMSONLC in DBRC.

FABJDALO has been modified to allocate the output image copy
data set that is created by HPIC Advanced Copy Services
    specified with FASTIC=(,COPY).

FABJDFCN has been modified as follows:
    - To delete the call of FABJUIC1.
    - To get the output primary image copy information defined by
      JCL DD.
    - To notify completion of primary image copy process to
      FABJOFL1.

FABJDMPN has been modified as follows:
    - To allocate the RECON data sets defined by DFSMDA that IMS
      module does not using.
    - To add the new field of parameter for FABJBRLS.

FABJDSSB has been modified as follows:
    - To add the flag for image copy type.
    - To add the new field of parameter for FABJBRLS.

FABJFCBK has been modified to add the flag for image copy type.

FABJFCCN has been modified to issue POST macro for modules of
    FABJBRL7, FABJBRL8, FABJBRL9, or FABJBRLA.

FABJFCDN has been modified to add the field of parameter for
    FABJDALO.

FABJIPRC has been modified to set the parameter address to
    register 0.

FABJMAIN has been modified as follows:
    - To check the RECON that is allocated by JCL DD.
    - To check the RECON that is defined as DFSMDA member.
    - To unallocated the RECON data sets that is allocated by HPIC
      process.
    - To set the parameter address to register 0.

FABJMDPN has been modified to set the flag of image copy type.

FABJOFL1 has been modified as follows:
    - To get the output secondary image copy information defined by
      JCL DD.
    - To notify completion of secondary image copy process to
      FABJDFCN.

FABJLINK and H1J0410J have been modified as follows:
    - To add the FABJDOPN to FABJFCC7, FABJFCC8, FABJFCC9, and
      FABJFCCA.
    - To add the FABJDSNP and FABJDALO to FABJOFL1.
