APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During start up customer sees a slow down or performance issue
  with slow enqueues on MAJOR=DGOVZRAC MINOR=RACROUTE for approx.
  10 minutes. Once the initialization is done (to find all the
  DB2 catalog tables), then slow down is no longer occurring. The
  enqueues are needed for OBID/DBID translation of all the
  tablespace and dataspace names. Another enques are also seen but
  not as often as racroute - MAJOR=DGOVWRPA MINOR=CHKDB2C.

  Poor performance of the product accompanied by gradually
  growing number of enqueue contentions which can be
  checked per MVS command "D GRS,C", e.g.:

  The slowness may last dozens of minutes, the time span
  depends on complexity of a given DB2 subsystem,
  exactly saying on sizes of the following tables in the
  DB2 catalog:
  -sysibm.sysdatabase
  -sysibm.systablespace
  -sysibm.sysindexes
