Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool, CM Run results in a drop and
  recreate of a table with an identity column when alter should
  be performed.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: In R720, when user tries to alter identity   *
  *                 column  attributes of a table,  results in   *
  *                 drop  and recreate  instead  of  alter the   *
  *                 statement.                                   *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Alter of  table with  identity  column  *
  *                      from no cache to cache results in drop  *
  *                      and  recreate instead of just alter as  *
  *                      specified in the CM statement.          *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  For alter table with identity alteration attributes, syssequence
  records are not generated. Changes are done so that  ASQ records
  are generated,  for alter the table with the identity alteration
  attributes.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is been fixed only in V7.2.
