    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
HPIC V4R1 under IMS Database Recovery Facility has following
    3 problems:
    - NOTIFY.IC command has failed, because the volume information
of image copy data set is not correct. HPIC does not receive
the volume information from sub address space to master
      address space.
This problem occurs on the following conditions:
        1. VOLSER() or VOLSER2() keyword is not specified in
UTILGBL() global control statement and ADD command.
        2. Generated image copy data set resides on 5 or more
           volumes.
    - Even if NOTIFY.IC command has failed, HPIC returns RC=0 to
DRF. HPIC overrides the return code of NOTIFY.IC command, and
passes RC=0, which is not expected, to DRF.
    - ISO/ANSI control characters are printed on DFSPRINT DD
incorrectly. Because HPIC has DCB which RECFM is not FBA, but
      FB.

HPIC V4R1 also has following problem:
    - When 5 or more volume names are specified in VOLSER= keyword
of ICEIN GLOBAL statement, HPIC fails dynamic allocation of
the output image copy data set.
Because HPIC considers wrong area to be volume names specified
in VOLSER= keyword, and makes SVC99 request block incorrectly.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJAPIM and FABJAPIP have been modified to pass return code to
    DRF correctly.
FABJAPIM has also been modified to have correct DCB which RECFM
    is FBA.

FABJDRQS, FABJMAS1 and FABJSAS2 have been modified to receive
volume information of generated image copies from sub address
    space to master address space.

FABJPARM has been modified to receive volume names specified in
    VOLSER= keyword correctly.
