APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If the product uses high speed mode, and a dropped object is
encountered, and dropped object mode is not specifically set
(i.e., old and new object IDs are not included as filters), the
dropped object will be incorrectly included in the ROWDATA
output. This can cause errors downstream. An ALAA041E error msg
was reported during decompression attempt on such an object, but
other errors are conceivable. The existence of records marked
with '*UNKNOWN' object names in the general report output will
indicate such a problem has occurred.

    OTHER KEYWORDS: ALAA041 UNKNOWN

Local fix

  • You can circumvent the problem by re-running for appropriate
timeframe as seen on general report heading (or , if staying in
continuous mode, use the backup file process), but make sure
'Misc flags' on general report panel is NOT set to 'H'. This
will result in a slower job, but will get you past the problem
as it is only a high speed mode issue.
