Error description

  • The implementing of changes to VSAM and OSAM buffer management,
in order to improve EXCP usage and elapse times for Subordinate
Address Space processing will improve DRF performance.
DRF currently uses the default number of buffers when writing
VSAM ESDS's, This will be changed to BUFND=255 in order to
reduce EXCP counts and avoid excessive IO in the SAS.
OSAM buffers will be changed from 55 to 255, to optimize EXCP's

This is a performance fix for OSAM and VSAM databases. The
number of buffers used during OPEN is optimized to allow for
more efficient EXCP conuts and reduced service units during the
write phase in the Sunordinate Address Space

Improve EXPS and overall elapsed time for Subordinate Address
space by optimizing number of buffers used during OPEN.
