Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool GEN function issued against a
  table with a fieldproc which reduces the length of a column
  will end RC=00 however the following messages are issued:
  IBM0361W ONCODE=350  The STRINGRANGE condition was raised.
  From compile unit ADB2REM at entry point EXTERNALIZE
  From compile unit ADB2REM at entry point LIMITKEY_PROC
  From compile unit ADB2REM at entry point GEN_TABLE
  .
  Additional symptoms: oncode350

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users running ADMIN GEN with                 *
  *                 partitioned tablespaces.                     *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users can in some cases see             *
  *                      STRINGRANGE error messages in modules   *
  *                      ADB2REM and/or ADB2REG.  The routine    *
  *                      named is EXTERNALIZE.                   *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  ADB2REG and ADB2REM have been changed so as to eliminate the
  problem.  In some instances, additional error reporting data is
  placed in the ADB2GEN listing.  If this happens, the listing
  should be forwarded to IBM.  Processing continues, and the
  results should be correct.
