Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS * * Version 3 Release 2 users ( FMID=H1J0320 ) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR includes following IMS APARs: * * - IMS V9 * * PK39286, PK46175, PK53066 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** PK39286 (IMS V9) - Abend S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) occurred in DFSUCP50 when DFSUDMP0 lost addressability of R1 before writing the last record. R1 should contain the address of the record to be written out to the output data set. It is set up correctly except for the very last record. As a result, an invalid address was used for the location of last record and Abend S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) was issued. This problem exists only when running under UCF. PK46175 (IMS V9) - The IMS job terminated with RC=8 and DFS306A ( MSGDFS306A ), While attempting to do a timestamp recovery to a time prior to Online Reorg being run. The reason for the error code was because DBRC did not correctly determine the active DBDS at the timestamp the Recovery was requested. PK53066 (IMS V9) - Abend S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) occurred in DSPURV00. When DFSURDB0 calls DFSDLOC0 to open the database data set being recovered, DFSDLOC0 calls DFSDDUI0 to process the request. In the DFSDDUI0 call to DBRC, the address of SYSIN (BRLBRSIN) is overwritten with pointer to the Recon timestamp (BRLBLRIT) which was GETMAINed memory. At the end of DFSDDUI0, the memory is FREEMAINed. Later when DFSURDB0 calls DBRC for End of Job processing, it references address of SYSIN that has been freed by DFSDDUI0. If the freed storage is not used again, the user would see an Abend S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) in DSPURV00.
