APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool ALC line command when used in
  conjunction with the Change Management feature to add an index
  via the ADDINDEX command results in a message:
  ISPV006
  
  Data truncation occurred
  Data for CHAR format variable "OBJTYPE" was too long.

• Do not say YES on panel ADB2CMRO Change Management Prompt

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In DB2  Administration  Tool or Object  *
  *                      Comparison  Tool,  when using ALC with  *
  *                      Change Management,  and using ADDINDEX  *
  *                      an error may occur indicating that the  *
  *                      OBJTYPE variable is too long.           *

  The variable is VDEFINED as 2 bytes but an attempt to store a
  value longer than 2 bytes is made.
