PK56276: WINDOWS 2000 CAE SERVER MAY FAIL AFTER APPLYING MAINTENANCE DUE TO DELETED QUERY MONITOR WINDOWS SERVICE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Windows 2000 CAE server may fail after applying maintenance due
  to deleted Query Monitor Windows Service
  

Local fix

• If after performing an install or a maintenance installation
  the Windows Service is missing, then you can install the
  service by running kbm_service_install.bat
  (located in the DB2 Query Monitor bin folder, for example
   C:\Program Files\IBM\DB2 Query Monitor\bin).
  To do so, double click kbm_service_install.bat to install the
  service.
  
  Alternatively, you can run the install from a DOS prompt as
  follows:
  
  1. Open a DOS window.
  2. Change directory (CD) to your DB2 Query Monitor bin folder.
  3. Execute the kbm_service_install.bat by typing
     kbm_service_install and pressing Enter.
     The service is installed and is set up as a service
     that will start automatically when the machine reboots.
