Error description

  • Abend0C4 in DSNB1LDA + 3324 at level UK25071 because of bad R14.
Addressability for a control block has not been established when
trying to write a trace record for a closed dataset but for
which there is still a cached compression dictionary.

PK37350 added code to DSNB1LDA and DSNB1OPP to write a
servicability trace entry when freeing the storage for a cached
compression dictionary.  However, the trace code attempts to
obtain some of the trace data from control blocks for which
addressability has not been established, which may result in an
ABEND0C4.

Problem conclusion

  • The trace code in DSNB1LDA and DSNB1OPP has been corrected.
