When dumping an FFDC to describe an issue related to file
store (such as a failure to write to disk), a
NullPointerException may occur which prevents diagnostic
information from being included in an FFDC.

The NullPointerException is wrapped in an
InvocationTargetException, and has the following stack:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
      at com.ibm.ws.objectManager.utils.FFDC$Diagnostics.
                                     ffdcDumpDefault(FFDC.java:356)

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR resolves the issue, to allow file store to correctly
dump an FFDC to diagnose the underlying issue.
It does not resolve any underlying issue.
