Error description
Customer has an IMSPLEX with two IMS's set to AOS=N and one to AOS=F. When one of the IMS members left the XCF group and the status reassessment was driven, one of the remaining IMS's with AOS=N received: DFS2088I APPC/OTMA SMQ Enablement inactive. Reason = 020 The customer finds the RC=20 to be confusing since AOS=N has been specifed to begin with.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS V10 users of synchronous * * APPC/OTMA SMQ Enablement. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When terminating IMS, "DFS2088I * * APPC/OTMA SMQ Enablement inactive. * * Reason = 020." is issued. * * * * The reason code 020 (RC20) is * * confusing when the IMS issuing * * this message is defined as * * AOS=N. * * * * Forward fit of PK48846 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF * **************************************************************** When terminating IMS in a shared queues environment, "DFS2088I APPC/OTMA SMQ Enablement inactive. Reason = 020." is issued. A Reason code of 20 indicates that a member joined the group and cannot support APPC/OTMA SMQ Enablement. This reason code does not make sense because no IMS is joining the group. The failing scenario occurs as follows: 1. The customer started 3 IMSs with the following options. IMS1 with AOS=F IMS2 with AOS=N IMS3 with AOS=N 2, IMS2 is terminated via /CHE FREEZE. 3. IMS3 issued MSGDFS2088I APPC/OTMA SMQ Enablement inactive. Reason = 020 As IMS3 had AOS=N specified, reason code 032 would be more appropriate. Reason code 32 indicates that AOS=N was specified in the DFSDCxxx member.
Problem conclusion
AIDS: RIDS/DCS RIDS/CNTRL DCS CNTRL GEN: SYSPLEXSQ *** END IMS KEYWORDS *** DFSAOSW0 was modified to set the reason 032 when AOS=N is specified.
