    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    PMR 54851 379 000
The OMPEMSTR parameter settings for DATASERVERVOLUME and
DATASERVERUNIT are ignored after using PE SERVER operator
    commands.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    PMR 87882 001 866
PE SERVER msg "THE EVENT VSAM DATASET COULD NOT BE CREATED"
occurs. The DEFINE CLUSTER parameter VOLUME is not generated.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    PMR 03677 499 000
The SMS ACS routine do not accept the DEFINE CLUSTER parameter
VOLUME(*) for dataset work-hlq.EVENTS. PE SERVER msg
    "VSAM dataset creation failed" occurs.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    PMR 66216 035 724
The generated PWH bind job PMDBBIND fails, because the JCL
parameters UNIT and VOLUME=SER are commented out or an invalid
    JCL card "VOLUME=SER= * ,UNIT=(SAPPL)" is created.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    PMR 48244 379 000
Bind package DBO@CHKB fails if the PE SERVER is started with
    option PWH=F and option AUTODETECT=Y.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    More ...
After using the STC modify command DISPLAY=(PARMS) no further
dynamic bind of PWH DBRMs is possible, because the JCL
parameters VOL=SER and UNIT are commented out.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    More ...
After using the STC modify command DISPLAY=(PARMS) the VSAM
datasets HISTORY and EVENTS are not allocated dynamically
    in a Non-SMS environment.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    More ...
For the ICAT specified value blank for DATASERVERVOLUME the
    OMPEMSTR parameter DATASERVERVOLUME=" * " is created.
The resulting JCL parameter "VOL=SER= * " has a general JCL
syntax error. All after VOL=SER is treated as JCL comment.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    More ...
If the length of the OMPEMSTR parameter DATASERVERVOLUME
is less than 6, the generated JCL is invalid
    "VOL=SER=12345 ,UNIT=SYSDA".
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    More ...
There is no way to define a DSVOLUME and DSUNIT value within
OMPEMSTR that the corresponding JCL parameter is NOT generated.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The default values for UNIT and VOLUME on ICAT panel
"KD261PN - Server Information - " are changed to blank.
This information is used for PE SERVER work datasets,
    if not SMS managed.
Since SMS can be implemented in different ways, the
ICAT configuration tool does not attempt to validate these
parameters. The dataset allocation jobs will use all
    parameters that you enter.

A blank value for UNIT results into the OMPEMSTR parameter
DATASERVERUNIT='', and the UNIT parameter in the JCL DD
    statement is not generated.

A blank value for VOLUME results into the OMPEMSTR parameter
DATASERVERVOLUME='', and the VOL=SER parameter in the JCL DD
statement or the VOLUMES parameter in the DEFINE CLUSTER job
    is not generated.

Some PE SERVER work datasets are:
    - work-hlq.DBRM / PDS
    - work-hlq.JCL / PDS
    - work-hlq.EVENTS / VSAM
    - work-hlq.HISTORY / VSAM
