    *                      to version 10 fails if a plexname       *

    ****************************************************************
    MSGDSP1136A RECON ACCESS DENIED, IMSPLEX NAME nnnnn NOT VALID
    is issued if a CHANGE.RECON UPGRADE command is used to
    upgrade a version 8 or version 9 RECON to version 10 if a
    plexname is stored in the RECON. The version 10 code uses the
    incorrect offset to extract the plexname from the prior release
    RECON.
    The problem was introduced when logic to check the plexname
    was added to the RECON open process with PK39902 in support of
    READONLY applications.

Problem conclusion

  • AIDS: RIDS/DBRC RIDS/CNTRL DBRC CNTRL
      GEN:

    *** END IMS KEYWORDS ***
    The plexname check in RECON open processing is changed to
    extract the plexname from a down level RECON properly.

    DSPURI10 is changed to get the plexname from the last 5 bytes
    for rcr1plex instead of the first five when the RECON is
    not at the version 10 level.
