APAR status
Closed as new function.
Error description
The following functionality has been added to the TOIAUTO command: this is defualt for TOIAUTO=Y. OLDS switches every time a /DBR or /DBD command is issued. TOIAUTO=(Y,LAST) /DBR and /DBD use NONFEOV option, except for the last command that's issued. TOIAUTO=(Y,NO) /DBR and /DBD use NONFEOV option for every command. Hence the log is not swithced in HPIC processing. Also, TOSI has been changed to use /DBD for Full Function IMS data bases.
Local fix
No Work Around.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS * * Version 4 Release 1 users ( FMID=H1J0410 ) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR provides a new optional * * parameters for TOIAUTO= keyword: * * For the second operand: * * - EVERY * * - LAST * * - NO * * For the third operand: * * - DBR * * - DBD * * * * This APAR fixes following problems: * * - HPIC Image Copy function can not * * confirm the area stop status of DEDB, * * when TOIAUTO=Y or O is requested. * * - HPIC Create Image Copy function * * terminates with ABEND S0C6 * * ( ABEND0C6 ) at FABJMAIN + X'D4C4', * * when FASTIC=(,COPY) is processed with * * NOTIFY=Y. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** This APAR provides a new optional parameters for TOIAUTO= keyword. The new parameters for the second operand indicate when to switch the IMS log to the next OLDS: - EVERY specified to indicate that the log is to be switched to next OLDS and a checkpoint is to be taken every time the database is stopped. This is the default. - LAST specified to indicate that the log is to be switched to next OLDS and a checkpoint is to be taken when the last IMS command is issued to stop the database. - NO specified to indicate that the log is not to be switched to next OLDS and a checkpoint is not to be taken when the database is stopped. The new parameters for the third operand indicate which command is to be issued for full-function DB and HALDB, /DBRECOVERY or /DBDUMP. - DBR specified to issue /DBRECOVERY command to stop full-function DB and HALDB. This is the default. - DBD specified to issue /DBDUMP command to stop full-function DB and HALDB. These new parameters are to be specified only in TOIAUTO= keyword of GLOBAL statement. These new parameters are ignored on following conditions: - Specified in TOIAUTO= keyword of AIC/IC/GROUP statement. - TOIAUTO=N is specified. This APAR fixes following problems: - HPIC Image Copy function can not confirm the area stop status of DEDB, when TOIAUTO=Y or O is requested. By this APAR, HPIC uses /DIA AREA to checks whether DEDB area has been stopped or not. - HPIC Create Image Copy function terminates with ABEND S0C6 ( ABEND0C6 ) at FABJMAIN + X'D4C4', when FASTIC=(,COPY) is processed with NOTIFY=Y. Because HPIC sets a timestamp of runtime to incorrect field in the work area, then the HPIC instructions are overwritten.
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix

If log is not needed to switch, 'NOFEOV' option parameter is specified to IMS command. FABJDBIM has been modified to save new information to search for the last command of an IMSID. FABUITCT has been modified to save DBIMBLK entry address corresponds to the TCT entry. FABJFCCN has been modified to not get a timestamp of runtime in Create Image Copy and Recovery processing.
