APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If user uses Admin defaults of
    Capitalize object names   ===> NO   (Yes/No, default is YES)
    Then creates a mask in CM and uses lower case characters
    when editing the mask. These lower case characters are saved in
    lower case. Using this mask for Object Compare causes Rc12 rc=12
    maxcc = 12
    GOCM011E - Unknown MASK type "owner" found in mask file record
    
    GOCC002E - Severe error. Compare terminates
    

Local fix

  • Please apply ptf when available.
    
    Circumvention use UPPER case characters when editing or adding
    mask values in the mask dataset.

    *                 edit the mask table with mask statements in  *

    *                      fails with RC = 12 and may display an   *
    *                      error  "GOCM011E - Unknown MASK  type   *
    *                      "XXXX" found in mask file record  1".   *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

    Masking module has been changed to translate all the mask record
    to  upper case  rrespective of how the admin default "Capitalize
    object names" is set.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problems have been fixed.
