APAR status

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool Change Management functions ANALYZE
job fails with a message:
IBM0421S  ONCODE=520  The SUBSCRIPTRANGE condition was raised.
when multiple CHANGES files are concatenated and IMPORTed.

As this behaviour is not currently supported by the product this
APAR will introduce code to issue an error message rather than
allowing the abend to occur.

  • Do not concatenate CHANGES files during IMPORT

Code has been changed to correct this condition.

Problem conclusion

  • Fix will ensure that merge will fail gracefully without
abending.
