  • The DB2 Object Comparision Tool will be changed to take
advantage of the removal of restrictions DB2 APAR PK51853 will
introduce.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Users of  Object  Compare V7.2 when using    *
*                 ables having a large number of partitions    *
*                 and DB2 utilities LOAD and UNLOAD.           *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users are not notified until after the  *
*                      UNLOADing  and attempting to LOAD this  *
*                      table. By capturing the maximum number  *
*                      of  the  utility  partitions  that DB2  *
*                      will allow,  the users can be notified  *
*                      earlier  before  expensive  processing  *
*                      takes place.                            *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
GOC2CMP was  changed to extract the customer established value
for the partition processing from the version file and make it
available  in the GOC communication area.  GOC2CMF was changed
to use this value for utility processing.
