Error description
DFHPIEP rejects a soap message containing an envelope element with no explicit namespace coded. For example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Envelope xmlns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ xmlns:soapenc=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ . . . </Envelope> . DFHPIEP expects something similar to the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <soap:Envelope xmlns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ xmlns:soapenc=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ . . . . </soap:Envelope> . DFHPIEP rejects the soap message with message DFHPI0602. Trace shows: PI 0C16 PISN EXIT-SOAP_PARSER DFHPIEP_RC(8) PLISAXA_RC(0) . DFHPIEP sets up 'fc_invalid_msg;' (RC8) because it was unable to find ':Envelope' (which would also be used as the namespace prefix). DFHPIEP should accept a SOAP message containing an Envelope element without an explicit namespace coded.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHPI0602 when parsing a SOAP message. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a SOAP message is received by CICS, DFHPISN calls DFHPIEP to parse the message. DFHPIEP calls the system parser (PLISAXA) and processes each element returned. DFHPIEP checks the format of the various tags ENVELOPE/HEADER/BODY but rejects them if they are not qualified by a specific namespace, MSGDFHPI0602 is displayed showing PLISAXA rc(0) and DFHPIEP rc(8).
Problem conclusion
DFHPIEP has been changed to allow Envelope, Header and Body tags with no specific namespace qualification.
